I’ve just finished this year of university. From my point of view, it was my best year so far. Whether the university agrees with that assessment is yet to be discovered.
I’ll be working for my cousin designing WordPress plugins, so hopefully I can fit this stuff in.

In this blog, several of the topics Peter studies will be outlined with the aim of informing the reader in an accessible way and of reinforcing Peter’s knowledge of these topics.  Peter has written a number of blogs previously. These have tended to focus on how angsty and teenagey he feels, as well as sometimes outlining his hobbies, which have included, among other things: LEGO®; listening to excessive amounts of music; pop philosophy and general posting whatever crap he found on the internet [1][2][3]. In contrast, this blog is intended to focus on the more pressing issues of his actual studies. After getting through the last 3 years of exams not working most of the year and cramming in the exam period itself, he has come to the conclusion that he’s an adult now, damn it, and adults don’t make a habit of sitting in their rooms all day feeling sorry for themselves and listening to Björk when they should be working. To the end of becoming a real adult and not someone hurtling headlong into a midlife crisis when he finds himself living in a semi-detached house in Wolverhampton with a nice little garden and a job making air conditioning units when really he wanted to be doing, “I don’t know, maybe start a business or a bakery or something”, he has aimed to actually find his course interesting, so that when inevitably he finds himself living in a semi-detached house in Wolverhampton with a nice little garden and a job making air conditioning units, he feels in some sense like he’s being a productive member of society.

Of course, this would be an illusion, because we’re all dust and nothing we do matters, but if you’re going to build a castle in the sky, at least put turrets on it.

At some point I shall be starting blogging again. At the moment I am in the middle of exams.

Perhaps one of the main things I have learned from engineering is that there’s nothing to be ashamed of in taking other peoples’ work and building on it. So I’m using a theme this time.
